About
When we talk about Being Brave and Taking a Risk, there are so many different connotations to what this could stand for. We want to understand why women are deemed as more “risk averse”, and arm them with the knowledge and tools, and confidence to think differently.
This could mean a complete change in direction in their career, a promotion, a life change, initiating positive change within a part of their lives or even being able to stand up against something that isn't right. We want to understand what's holding them back, but also to encourage and empower. It’s about understanding their own worth, having belief in themselves and understanding the journey they have already taken, and the inequalities they have already had to fight against, whilst being brave enough to move forwards.
And we also want them to understand that taking a risk may not mean immediate success, but having the courage to do that can still be so beneficial in a number of ways.
Our aim will be to help futureproof the next generation of women’s career paths and encourage women to be brave, overcome any barriers and take those next steps. By using a strong panel with different voices and experiences, we want to show that the impossible is possible, and ultimately inspire and empower/motivate our Connections to take that risk or be brave enough to make that change.
(If purchasing a Zoom link this will be sent the day before the event. A venue ticket will arrive when purchased via email)
